Detached attachment

It’s easy to say. But so difficult to follow.

It’s good to spread love, take care of all, show compassion. When we do this by saying a few loving words, taking care, giving a hug, it increases our attachment with that person.

Even if you detach yourself, what about the person to whom you are sharing your love, care & compassion? Not everyone can detach themselves emotionally. Specially the ones who are little weaker, or need lots of love & care to feel worthy of being alive.

They are bound to get attached to this love & care. The thirst for this compassion will always make them look forward to the person with whom they feel loved or special.

A human is always in search of unconditional love. When s/he gets them from someone, it’s very natural for them to get attached. Maybe for a little while. if  s/he loses that person s/he may again feel the pain and emotional vacuum.

So be careful when you speak words of love, express yourself. You never know when you’d touch the strings of heart & soul of the other person. S/he may start relying on you for what you give. S/he may feel lost when you are not around.

Keep an equilibrium before showing your emotions. Introspect the nature of the person. Give her/him a heads up if you find her/him getting attached. Teach her/him the art of detachment as best as you can.

So that s/he may move on to find comfort in your absence as well. It’s necessary to avoid the other person from getting so attached to you.

It shouldn’t be difficult to move away when time or circumstances demand. Such a case may leave a complete emotional void in LIFE .
